Stillness Before Blizzard is an enlargement of my one-minute piece called Cloud, written for Jasmin Cowin’s 15-minute set on the 15-Minutes-of-Fame Vox Novus/Composer’s Voice project.

Dramatic pauses in the music can be long. Imagine that you hold the audience spellbound as if awaiting a storm. Turmoil in the middle gives way to a fading almost silent ending.
